Your message made my day. Thank you for sending such sweet gratitude. Your writing inspired my response.

Your writing is so raw, so full of love, often unrequited. You feel everything deeply., one of the curses of high intelligence.. Which means your pain is also evident and a constant undercurrent in your prose.

I think we may be kindred spirits, I’ve just had a much longer time to adjust to the meaninglessness of it all. We kid ourselves to believe things happen for a reason.

Nine years ago I took the Landmark Forum. Best money and time I ever spent. I learned that in life there is what happened and there is our story about what happened. They are not the same things.

I learned that everything in life is possible, nothing is pre-destined. I learned the importance of integrity, because without integrity nothing works. Integrity means keeping you word. Do what you say you will do.

Life is not like a journey with a destination. Everything will not be better when….when we graduate school, get our dream job, get married or have kids, turn 30, retire, or get rich.

Life is actually empty and meaningless and the fact it is empty and meaningless is also empty and meaningless. We make our own meaning. Because as humans we are meaning making machines.

If I could open up your body and search for you, there is no “you” in there. Yet you clearly exist in this moment and the next until a moment arrives when you cease to exist.

Keep writing. You have talent.
