Ukraine can be rebuilt, and Russia needs to pay for it. Even if there is a peace deal, even if Russia withdraws, the sanctions continue until Russia funds a Marshall Plan for Ukraine.

And yes, if we can take out Middle Eastern tyrants with drones and get to Bin Laden with Navy SEALs, I have no doubt we can get to Putin and eliminate him. We simply choose not to take that route at the moment.

But I prefer the answer of continuing to arm Ukraine, so they have the tools to make the war simply too costly and painful for Russia to continue. Give them everything they ask for in terms of weapons and intelligence. Avoid American forces killing Russian soldiers.

It is a terrible situation in which we find ourselves.
