The U.S. has always been aggressive about controlling natural resources. You’re right, and we go to war to control the natural resources of other countries or peoples.
Should we hate the German people and their country today for the sins of the German people of the WW1 and WWII eras?
America is not perfect. America is a country based on greed and selfishness, and uncontrolled capitalism. Just like feudalism, monarchy, socialism, and communism are old ideas that have been proven not to work for the benefit of society, and it is time to see unregulated capitalism as the scourge it is.
What we know works is Social Democracy, a system based on regulated capitalism and social goods for all the people: Education, health care, elder care, child care, parks, guaranteed rights for workers, guaranteed holidays, and vacations. The evils of unregulated capitalism are held in check. The quality of life is superior to other countries with other systems. The disparity between the rich and the working class is not nearly as great as it is in the U.S.
We KNOW for a fact that carbon-based energy is raising the temperature globally. The ice caps are melting, the weather is changing, and the results will be catastrophic to humanity. The entire world needs to move away from carbon-based energy to renewables, and they are not acting nearly fast enough. The destruction of the tropical rainforests must end.
The USSR is finished. Russia is a mafia state. There is no free press in Russia. You cannot conduct the research you claim to have undertaken if you lived in Russia. Owning and using a VPN is a crime. Demonstrating against the government is a crime. Putin is a butcher, a mass killer. Every bit as evil as Adolph Hitler. And this one man is just sick enough to launch a nuclear war.
Ukraine has been an independent country since 1991. Read the facts here: Fact Check: Ukraine Is NOT A Part Of Russia, It’s Independent | Lead Stories.
Putin has no right to attack Ukraine. And Putin’s excuses are false. If Putin were to successfully take over Ukraine and make it a part of Russia, then Russia would be even more surrounded by NATO than if Ukraine had been accepted into NATO, which it was not and may not have ever been.
