Thanks for admitting it. Have you considered getting a passport and visiting some other countries?

Don't do an "If it is Tuesday, we must be in Paris" tour. Don't just go see all the postcard sights.

Meet the local people, it isn't hard. They are just as curious about us as we are about them. To avoid any language barriers, maybe some time in London or the UK would be fun?

America is heading into the dumpster. The odds of America changing are pretty slim. I don't know how old you are or what you do for a living, but over 16 million Americas live outside America. If you choose to leave, you won't be the first. If you are a typical American, your relatives came to the U.S. from somewhere else, leaving their old life behind. They succeed and you are the proof.

I left the first time during the Bush recession and lived for two years in Spain. Loved it, miss it, considering going back once Americans can travel freely.

Now I live for the last three years in South America. Believe it or not, life outside American can be pretty darn good and much more affordable.

Was it scary? Yes, the first time it was. But the second time was easy. Think about getting out before everything turns to s**t.
