I love your writing. And sad to say, I think you are bearing witness to the decline of American democracy.

Your explanations for how so many people are oblivious to what is happening are well thought out and supported.

Electing Democrats is not the solution if those Democrats are unwilling to make radical changes to society. Not just cuts to military spending or raising taxes on the rich, but a wholesale reform of the American system.

I believe this is necessary but too much to hope for. How can we end the Electoral College or change our system of representation that gives 2 Senators to nearly deserted states like Iowa and Montana while disenfranchising millions by giving residents of California and New York the same number of Senators? When the Senate controls the appointment of judges for lifetime terms, see the majority can be controlled by the minority for generations.

The only hope is a new Constitutional Convention to update a 200+ year old document that is no longer as useful as it once was. The framers of the Constitution anticipated this by describing the necessary procedures to change the constitution.

And since we know that a Constitutional Convention will never happen, America is destined to collapse into facism.

One last thing: Please find a good proofreader because you are a very prolific writer but your articles have typos, double words, incorrect words, etc. Spellcheck isn’t enough.

If you do not wish to hire a professional proofreader, please consider a Pro subscription to Grammarly to catch these errors prior to publication.

I do not work for Grammary but I do use it. And I read everything I write twice. Because auto correct is guaranteed to mangle my prose with improper word and tense choices..
