I left the U.S. in April 2018. I live in Colombia, which is still cheap but getting more expensive fast. Inflation is real everywhere and I don't know what is driving it but my guess is greed and fear.

I was in Lisbon last year. I'd consider living there and might just move although I still like Medellin.

I don't know what to do about voting in November and 2024. Maybe I should write about my dilemma.

The lesser of two evils is still evil. The Democrats by their inaction and lack of courage have empowered the right-wing crazies.

I will never vote GOP, but how can I vote Democratic either, when they won't put the fear of losing into Manchin and Sinema? They just throw up their hands and say "There's nothing we can do".

You know, if you want to remodel an old, dilapidated slum, you can't just paint it and put in some new doors and windows. You have to tear it down to the foundation and rebuild from the ground up.

Maybe that's what is necessary for America? A few decades of fascist authoritarianism and living the Handmaiden's Tale might be enough to light the fuse?

Since I left, I'm a lot less affected than are those still imprisoned in the Matrix.

Unless they kill Social Security. This is very possible after they kill abortion, same-sex marriage, ObamaCare, equal rights, voting rightds, and women's rights, which will take America back to the last century.
