"George and I at my college graduation ceremony in 1985. The Pat Benatar haircut was a mistake!"
So, too is the grammar a mistake. It should read "George and Me. . ."
Remember the rule from school? With dual subjects, you remove the other person and see if it is correct.
So, remove "George and . . ." and you are left with "I at my college graduation" and you know that's not correct. "Me at my college graduation" is correct.
Then put "George" back into the sentence.
"George and me at my college graduation"
If there was a verb in there, then "George and I posed together at my college graduation" would be correct. "I posed . . ."
Otherwise, I enjoyed your brave essay.
