As a liberal progressive who has lived in Europe and knows for a fact the superior quality of life they enjoy, I just don’t have any hope left.

Trump is similar in his use of lies and propaganda to Hitler and the Democrats are like the good, patriotic Germans who believed “this too shall pass” and were like lambs led to the slaughterhouse.

I left America in April 2018. I just spent three weeks in San Francisco last month, October 2021.

The once crowded streets of the Financial District are deserted. Starbucks is pioneering their take out only model. Vaccinations are required indoors but super easy to fake. It seems like “Cabaret” in real life.

But the Democrats just don’t get it. Putting up a retread old white political hack with no plans kept many Democratic voters at home.

America cannot save itself and there will be no Marshall plan to save it from abroad.

Seeing the bleak future ahead, the smartest thing is to get off the sinking ship and let America implode.

Afterthought from the election results of November 2 in Virginia and New Jersey:

The pundits are saying the Democrats and Biden are failing due to reaction to the party moving left towards more progressive policies (which the party cannot seem to pass).

I have no data to support it, but that doesn’t feel right to me. It feels more like in Virginia and New Jersey, the suburban women didn’t suddenly start voting Republican but that the progressives stayed home, hoping to send a message to the DNC and Biden to pass the progressive agenda.

This feeling may just be based on my own biases. But I stopped donating to any Democratic candidates or their PACs being turned off by the party’s lack of conviction in European style social democracy which the GOP falsely labels radical left wing socialism because lying and propaganda seem to work.

In fact, the radicals are all on the right and are fascist.

What does your gut tell you as to why Democrats cannot win big?
